Il livello (grafico e narrativo) e insieme l’ ironia di fondo di Mandrake-Drakeman si impennano con l’episodio successivo, che sarà in seguito ristampato col titolo Nel Paese dei fachiri , e che appare a partire dal n. 92 del 3 ottobre:
